Scouts

Cub Scouting is family-oriented fun with a purpose for first through fifth graders! Scouts learn leadership, character development, sportsmanship, fitness, knot tying, camping, archery, citizenship, and participate in the annual Pinewood Derby. As a Cub Scout, you do your best and help others.

Cub Scouts BSA Pack 25 is the only Jewish-focused scouting program in the Memphis area. It feeds into Boy Scout Troop 25, the oldest troop still operating in the Chickasaw Council. Temple’s Boy Scout program builds on the skills learned in Cub Scouts.

Boy Scouts enjoy taking on leadership roles and doing more hands-on work in the troop. Boy Scouts also have the opportunity to camp at Kia Kima multiple times each year where they have fun earning badges and spending time in the great outdoors.

Boy Scouts meet on Tuesday nights from 7 to 8:30 PM. Most Scout meetings are held in the Scout building behind Temple Israel. Visit the Troop 25 website to learn more about scouting at Temple.
